Role Description:

Our client, a global business with a presence spanning 12 countries and impacting the lives of 400,000 individuals daily by creating opportunities, is on the hunt for a Data Strategy Lead/Coach. They are searching for someone with an unwavering passion for data strategy, a wealth of global experience, and an innate ability to guide and coach diverse stakeholders towards building an exceptional, data-driven organization capable of fully harnessing the power of data.

In this role, you will embark on a journey to empower our client's operating companies, each at varying stages of data maturity, in implementing the foundational principles of Data Strategy. Your mission: to coach and guide stakeholders towards extracting tangible value from data. You'll need an unparalleled coaching acumen, a natural talent for listening, understanding, motivating, and the adaptability to tailor your approach to fit each unique business context.

Your role is multifaceted, demanding the fusion of your expertise in Data, Technology, and Change Management to assist our client's operating companies in realizing their data aspirations. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, aiding them in leveraging data to make informed decisions and foster continuous improvement. Your profound expertise will serve as the catalyst for cultivating a data-centric culture within our decentralized staffing companies, and you'll have the opportunity to harmonize data strategy with other pivotal initiatives, such as customer journey management and digital transformation.

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Digital & Enterprise Programs, you'll need to be a self-starter, capable of hitting the ground running. Flexibility, excellent communication skills, a global perspective, and a willingness to collaborate across time zones are essential traits for success in this role. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is a must, as is the ability to independently craft professional deliverables, including but not limited to PowerPoints and plans.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Guide and Support: Be the guiding light for our client's 10 operating companies, assisting them in laying the foundation for data strategy and navigating the transformations required to achieve a world-class Data function. This includes hands-on support, from conducting data maturity assessments to establishing data governance, guidelines, and principles.

  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with stakeholders ranging from executives to technical specialists. This will involve working seamlessly with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and professional styles.

  • Value-Driven Use Cases: Coach and support operating companies in crafting and executing data-driven use cases that translate into tangible value, while effectively communicating these achievements to senior leadership.

  • Data Center of Excellence: Spearhead the establishment of a Data Center of Excellence and a Champions Community.

  • Executive Sponsorship: Secure and maintain executive sponsorship for data initiatives at both headquarters and within the operating companies.

  • Data Awareness Campaigns: Develop, facilitate, and implement world-class data awareness campaigns and data literacy training initiatives across the organization.

  • Resource Guides: Continuously update the Global Data Strategy foundational resource guides and tailor them to meet the specific needs of our operating companies.

  • KPI Management: Define and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) that showcase the value of data on both a global and local level.

  • Workshops and Training: Lead workshops and training sessions that foster data excellence.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience: Over a decade of experience with esteemed organizations in roles related to Data, Technology, and ideally Change Management.

  • Passion: An unwavering commitment to cultivating a data-driven ethos within a traditional staffing company.

  • Data Strategy: Proven experience in developing and implementing data strategies within complex organizational landscapes, with expertise in data governance, data management, data quality best practices, data privacy, and compliance regulations. Proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms is a must.

  • Stakeholder Management: Extensive experience in coaching and managing diverse stakeholders.

  • Global Savvy: A wealth of experience in global settings, coupled with a willingness to adapt to flexible schedules accommodating different time zones.

  • Training: Proven ability to conduct workshops and training sessions.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional proficiency in English, as all daily work and interactions are conducted in this language.

  • Tools: Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Project, OneNote, and Teams.

  • Bonus: Prior staffing industry experience and certifications in data strategy or related fields.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel to operating companies when necessary.

  • Location: Openness to working at our client's Global HQ in Almere, Netherlands, with the possibility of hybrid work arrangements.
